Yamaga Blanks Galahad Jigging Series
The Galahad Jigging Rod Series by Yamaga Blanks consists of 1-piece models designed to leverage the benefits of a 1-piece structure, offering both power and maneuverability through optimized bending and rebound. Modern metal jigs vary in materials, shapes, and actions, with numerous seasonal game patterns unique to different sea areas. In some regions, high pressure results in selective conditions, demanding high adaptability from anglers. The Galahad series prioritizes adaptability, combining lightweight maneuverability and responsiveness with butt power to handle large bluefish, allowing anglers to utilize a diverse range of skills.
The lineup focuses on high-demand games while covering various situations, featuring five spinning models and four baitcasting models. The 632S, 633S, and 634S models enhance operability by strengthening the backbone from the belly to the butt, allowing smooth jerks even when the line is angled during drifts. These models are designed with a moderate tip for natural swimming actions. The 585S and 526S models are specialized for vertical jigging with a stiff overall blank, designed for high-pitch short jerks and one-pitch jerks, providing quick and responsive jig actions. The four baitcasting models improve operability, leveraging the advantages of baitcasting rods for precise lift actions and fall actions, with a well-balanced, all-round performance that prevents excessive rebound.
Spinning Models: The 622S, 633S, and 634S models are designed to bend up to the belly during action, making it easier to produce smooth one-pitch actions. The 585S and 526S models are stiffer, making them highly responsive for vertical jigging in strong currents or deep water.
Baitcasting Models: The 622B, 623B, and 624B models focus on tip flexibility according to their power ratings, making swimming actions easier and enhancing freedom and sensitivity in action with a strong belly to butt section. The 526B model is stiffer, designed for easy action transmission even in deep water or strong currents.
About Load Weight The static load comparison of the jigging rods uses a 1kg load to represent the bending during jig operation. Other weights display the maximum drag values and intermediate loads for each model. These are based on the angle assumed when lifting the rod during a fight, so please use them as a reference.
Note: The static load comparison does not fully represent all characteristics of the rod. The comparison image shows a weight quietly hanging from a rod with a reel attached. It does not represent the rod’s instantaneous rebound force or the feeling of use during lure operation.
This light-class model features a tip that does not repel bites and a belly that follows naturally. It has high sensitivity to detect even the slightest changes in current while the flexible blank prevents line breaks and hook stretching when using thin hooks. The strong butt allows for a secure fight by absorbing high loads. By keeping the tip steady and focusing on the belly, it facilitates natural swimming actions without sharp movements, making it ideal for situations where subtlety is needed or in highly pressured areas where fish are wary. Despite its delicacy, it can handle tough fights, making it a versatile rod for aggressive fishing.
