Full Metal (Aluminum) Body Construction
The BG SW reels feature a full metal (aluminum) body and body cover, providing high rigidity and durability. The black anodized finish enhances resistance to scratches and corrosion, ensuring the reels maintain their aesthetic appeal even under harsh saltwater conditions.
Large-Diameter Tough Digigear
Equipped with a large-diameter Tough Digigear, these reels offer powerful and smooth winding performance. The oversized gear design increases gear-tooth contact points, resulting in enhanced gear durability, smoother operation, and increased torque, providing anglers with the confidence to handle hard-fighting fish.
LC-ABS Spool for Long Casts
The LC-ABS (Long Cast-ABS) spool design reduces line friction during casting, allowing for smoother line release and increased casting distance. By positioning the contact point forward, it minimizes line troubles and achieves approximately a 5% improvement in casting distance compared to previous designs.
EVA Round Knob for Enhanced Grip

Spool with Reference Line: The spool features a reference line for convenient backing, allowing anglers to easily manage line amounts. A newly designed line stopper accommodates both thin PE lines and thicker leaders, contributing to a lighter spool weight. (Applicable to sizes 4000–6000; sizes 8000–18000 do not have a line stopper.)
Manual Return Bail: To prevent accidental bail closure during casting and to enhance durability, models in sizes 8000–18000 are equipped with a manual return bail mechanism. (Sizes 4000–6000 feature an auto-return bail.)
Power Light Knob L & Large EVA Round Knob: Models in sizes 4000–6000 come with a Power Light Knob L, suitable for shore casting and light offshore jigging and casting. Sizes 8000–18000 are equipped with a large EVA round knob, ideal for targeting large offshore species.
