The DAIWA LEGALIS series has undergone a comprehensive model change, introducing significant advancements in design and technology. The incorporation of AIRDRIVE DESIGN and ZAION V materials has notably enhanced both the rigidity and lightness of the reels. For instance, the LT2500S-XH model is now 20 grams lighter than its predecessor. The ZAION V AIRDRIVE ROTOR allows for more responsive "winding" and "stopping" operations, providing anglers with a more intuitive fishing experience.
Key Features:
AIRDRIVE DESIGN: This next-generation spinning reel design philosophy focuses on enabling anglers to control lures precisely as desired. The AIRDRIVE DESIGN comprises up to four technologies:
AIRDRIVE ROTOR: Features a new shape derived from a sphere, with unnecessary material removed to achieve significant weight reduction while maintaining rigidity. This design greatly improves the lightness of the initial winding, enhancing operability and sensitivity.
AIRDRIVE BAIL: Utilizes a wire-type AIRDRIVE BAIL to further reduce the weight of the rotor unit. While maintaining the necessary strength during actual fishing, it achieves significant weight reduction. This contributes to a substantial decrease in rotational inertia, improving rotational response and operability. The arm lever also features a new shape to significantly reduce line entanglement.
ZAION V Material: Both the body and rotor, as well as the body cover, are made from the carbon hybrid material ZAION V. This not only reduces weight but also significantly improves rigidity, resulting in a more responsive and durable reel.
Screw-in Handle: For the first time in the LEGALIS series, a screw-in handle is adopted. This allows for the attachment of SLPW, RCS handles, and other screw-in type reel handles, enhancing customization options.
Power Light Type EVA Knob: Medium to large models come standard with an easy-to-grip, power light type EVA knob. This supports the operation of heavy lures and retrieval under high load conditions.
Perfect Line Stopper: A newly shaped line stopper accommodates both thin lines like PE and thick lines like leaders. The horizontally long shape reduces vertical space, contributing to spool weight reduction.
The new LEGALIS series, with its significant advancements, offers a range of models to suit various fishing styles and preferences, providing anglers with enhanced performance and customization options.
